We took a trip to Yap over my birthday weekend. Going to Yap is definitely taking a step back in time as you will see from these pictures. At the very end is a link to a video, so make sure you get to that point as it is VERY cool. :) Or at least, we think so...

Here is where we stayed at a place called The Pathways... If you got to Yap, this is the ONLY real option - unless, of course, you want to stay in a place that resembles Motel 6 but with a fancy name and high prices...

Looking out from our bungalow, we could see Chomorro Bay...

Here is Rachel relaxing on a walk...

We did a very cool cultural tour on Yap and here is a sampling of what we saw...

This little girl was giving us all handmade flower wreaths for our heads...

This boy is demonstrating how to climb a betel nut tree..

Here is the same boy during the Stick Dance...

This poor little boy wasn't allowed to do the dance...

Here is a bai we saw on our island tour...

And a palm tree, in case you haven't seen one before :)

And on the day we went to Wanyan beach, there were workers there trimming the jungle and they brought us this fruit and coconut water straight from the trees...

Finally a video for you to enjoy
