Just Two Crazy Girls Out Having Fun

We are Shauna and Rachel and we are, indeed, two crazy girls from the United States - California to be exact. At least our friends keep telling us we are crazy. We love all sorts of outdoors activities and are all about seeing this great big planet of ours and having all the fun we can along the way. When an idea gets into our heads, we go for it, no matter how crazy our friends may think we are.

In our adventures, we got to spend a whole month in Palau back in May of 2008. We kayaked and camped our way from Koror to Peleliu - taking the scenic route, of course, since there is no other way. We had a blast discovering this amazing area - with its great temperatures year-round, its beautiful warm waters, the lush scenery, the amazing rock islands, and the underwater world that just calls out to be explored.

One of the outdoor sports we love is stand up paddling, but where we come from in California, the ocean is the only place to paddle. One day while out paddling among the swells of the Pacific Ocean in our hometown, we were talking about places around the world we would love to paddle. Then Palau came up. It hit us like a giant wave - Palau would be the ideal place to stand up paddle. We kept imagining paddling in the flat, warm, clear waters of Palau. In fact, we thought about it so much, we decided we had to come back and spend some time paddling here.

So that's what did. We picked up and moved to Palau. For seven months we lived here - us and our stand up paddle boards, and our love of fun and adventure. We're came here to paddle these pristine waters to our hearts content. We were also hoping to wturn others on to this great sport in this wonderful slice of paradise.
